1.27mm Multipole

ERNI SMC 1.27mm connectors are the answer for applications where space is at a premium and packaging density and high-speed performance are a necessity.

These two-piece connectors are ideal for applications such as: notebooks, laptop and portable computers, compact peripherals, portable test and measurement equipment and other small electronic equipment.

Both male and female connectors are available in standard and inverse designs, with 12, 26 and 50 positions. A selection of three termination types are available:

• IDC for .025” (0.635mm) ribbon cable
  
• SMT straight and right angle

Board on SMT IDC Cable Connector

The SMC Board-on connector ia available in 12, 26 or 50 positions. The connector implements the connection between a flat cable and the printed circuit board by means of just one connector.

The flat cable is harnessed quickly by means of specially developed application tools. The connectors have been developed for fully automatic SMT assembly and are characterized by the following features: Black insulation body for easy visual recognition and high temperature resistant thermoplastics for all standard SMT reflow soldering processes.

The connectors are fitted with a pre-populated assembly hood for safe gripping with the vacuum pipette and have been designed for the fully automatic feed by means of the tape-on-reel packaging.
