Today's communication systems often require the transmission of sensitive signals for applications such as time-division and multiplexing through coaxial conductor pairs. For such applications, ERNI offers a connector for a high quality, economical connection between a coaxial cable and a PCB.
This unique, easy-to-terminate coaxial cable connector uses solder pins on the bottom portion to connect to the PCB. The insulation displacement (IDC) technique is used on the top portion of the connector to terminate one or two pre-stripped 75 ohms coaxial cables.
The ERNI Coaxial Cable PCB Connector is excellent for applications requiring a low cost, highly reliable IDC, non-separable, cable-to-board connection.
Other advantages include:
- Significantly reduced assembly costs
- Exceptional EMI shielding - cleaner signals & less reflections in controlled impedance & high frequency 50 & 75 ohms
applications
- Rise times of 600 ps/min; reflectance factors less than 0.1, up to 500 MHz
